Six months ago, I traded Sydney's startup scene for Seoul's Konkuk University. Since then, I've learnt doctor-like illegible scribbling and a bit of 카카오 pecking. But despite my tech background, I hadn't tackled the Korean keyboard.
Learning a new keyboard is hard; existing typing practice apps are ill-suited to language learners. Most apps focus on native speakers who are learning their way around a keyboard, which is the reverse of my situation.
The typing app for language learners
So I built type.sam.today, a Korean typing practice app tailored for language learners. It introduces new keys 1-by-1, paced by your own accuracy - so it shouldn't feel too fast or slow. Plus it uses real phrases, not just letters, so you can brush up on some TOPIK-1 vocab at the same time.
Try it for free at type.sam.today!
In retrospect, I probably should've done more revision for my language school exams! There were some interesting tech challenges rendering partial typing states in a pretty way - but that's a topic for another day.
If you found the app useful, drop a line in the feedback form.
